Streetlaw is a new third party volunteer project ReRight is launching in Michaelmas Term 2010.

The program is aimed at public education. It gives students, both of a law and non-law background, the chance to visit local Oxfordshire schools and teach local children about their legal rights, discuss contemporary issues and promote awareness and interest in law, and ethical law in particular.

Volunteers will teach form a pre-prepared booklet and have a training session prior to entering the schools. Teaching may take the form of a presentation, workshop or mock trials.

In due course, ReRight’s Streetlaw program will expand to create a section on tenant’s rights for students who are living out for the first time.
